Interior Design involves every aspect of the building and construction process. Some of the following are examples of what Interior Design entails: Overall plans of your house interior, Electrical layouts, Lighting layout, Designing the ceilings and bulkheads, Furniture layouts, Specification of all finishes (eg. Flooring and paint colours), Specification of fittings (eg. Sanware and light fittings), Working drawings of furniture and features to be constructed and installed by Shopfitters. With the use of AutoCAD, an Interior Designer can offer you a preview of how things will look.

This gives you the opportunity to make vital decisions and changes which will ultimately allow you to be closely involved in the overall design.

Project Co-ordination

Jossi Design also offers a Project Co-ordination service. Under this service Jossi Design will find and manage the contractors needed to complete the project, manage their cost and work rate and co-ordinate the various contractors on site. Many of our clients find this to be an invaluable service because no matter how beautiful the design, it is up to the contractor to execute the design properly.

Our many years of experience in the industry have allowed us to generate a large database of contractors, suppliers and specialists. We can therefore assist the client in the selection of the best supplier for each aspect of the job. We can further assist the client to use industry standard documents for tendering and general contracts.

Interior Decorating

Jossi Design will assist with the selection of furniture, soft furnishing, curtains, fabrics and artworks. Again this is another critical function to ensure the client achieves the look they want. The extent of Jossi Design’s involvement in this process can again be set by the client with fees being adjusted accordingly.

Interior Architecture entails the drawing of architectural plans for new homes and extensions to existing buildings for council, body corporate and home owner association submissions. Jossi Design can complete the whole process on your behalf seamlessly, quickly and easily.

Trust Account Management

Jossi Design also offers the use of trust accounts, whereby the client can make a deposit into a Jossi Design trust account, and then allow Jossi to make payments on the clients behalf to contractors and suppliers when necessary. These trust accounts are managed by our Chartered Accountant and are kept separate from the Jossi Design working capital. Thus the client’s money is protected and used exclusively for their project, giving the client piece of mind and excellent customer service. A breakdown of the trust account can be requested at any stage in the project and will be supplied as a matter of course on the completion of the project. In addition, monthly budgets and expenditure to date are sent through to the client to keep them informed at all times. Jossi Design charges for this service, therefore some clients prefer to make payments directly to the contractors and suppliers. Either method of payment is acceptable.
